Inauguration of Bi-Lingual District Website of Imphal West District: https://imphalwest.nic.in

Shri Naorem Praveen Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West, Manipur formally  inaugurated the newly developed website of Imphal West District on SWaaS Platform on 14th August, 2018 at Kombirei Hall, DC Office Complex, Lamphel.

The Bi-lingual website of English and local language Manipuri has been developed by the NIC, Imphal West District under the guidance of S3WaaS Team at NIC Hq, New Delhi and Hamirpur District Centre, Himachal Pradesh. The website can be accessed by visually impaired persons using assistive tools like screen readers (text-to-speech software) and special feature of Change Contrast is also available for colour blind users.

Shri Naorem Praveen Singh briefed about the new enhanced features of the website, which are a significant improvement over the previous version. Shri M. Nimai Singh, DIO, NIC talked about the challenges faced during the development of the website and requested District Level Officers of Imphal West to provide contents to keep the website updated. Shri Maibam Kubiheiba Meitei, ADIO, NIC demonstrated how visually impaired and colour blind citizens can navigate the website and briefed about the contents of the website.
