National Award for Kottayam District’s Website built using S3WaaS

The Official Website of Kottayam District received the Digital Transformation Award 2019 which is a National Award. The Website designed, developed and hosted by National Informatics Centre using S3WaaS Framework is managed by District Administration Kottayam under the leadership of District Collector Sri. P.K. Sudheer Babu IAS.

Digital Transformation Awards appreciate and recognize the Projects and Initiatives taken by the Centre and State Government to make India Digitally empowered. The applications were open to Central Government and State Government departments and Agencies for their contribution to Digital India and Bringing Digital Transformation in delivering G2G, G2B, and G2C Services. The Projects were evaluated by the esteemed Jury and winners were facilitated in the award ceremony on 6th November 2019 at New Delhi.

Kottayam District received the award under the “Website” category for its District website which is bilingual, Secure, Scalable, Sugamya and Responsive (built using the S3WaaS Framework). It is also compliant with GIGW (Guidelines for Indian Government Websites) and robust security standards. It is built on cutting-edge open source technology stacks.

Smt. Beena Ciril Podipara, District Informatics Officer Kottayam received the award from Sri. Suresh Prabhu, Hon’ble Member Rajya Sabha and Former Minister of Railways, Commerce and Industry and Civil Aviation in Digital Transformation Award function held at New Delhi.
