Inauguration of S3WaaS Based District Website of Lalitpur (UP)

On July 18, 2018, the District Collector, Mr. Manvendra Singh released the official website of Lalitpur (Uttar
Pradesh) “lalitpur.nic.in” in the presence of district level officers, staff and journalists in the Collectorate Auditorium. NIC Lalitpur has shifted this website to S3WaaS platform (which is secure, scalable and sugamya) in a short time.

Its specialty is that the structure of the website of all the districts of India will be almost identical, but the content
available will be district specific. The district website has been created by quickly configuring, and launching
smoothly the secure, scalable and accessible website with the ability to easily display district specific information and services. Following the GIGW guidelines of the Government of India, this website will be seamlessly compatible and responsive on all the devices available in the current era of the digital revolution, such as computers, laptops, tablets and smart phones and will be displayed on the device as per the design of the device.

One of its specialties is that today, while tireless efforts are being made to promote Hindi language, all the information available on the new website will be bilingual i.e. English as well as in Hindi. The District Magistrate directed the departmental officers to display useful information of departments for the better use of citizens while also emphasizing on the need to promote the tourist areas of the district Lalitpur on the new website.

On this occasion, Mr. Ashok Saxena, District Informatics Officer, NIC drew attention to the technical benefits of the S3waas platform. Mr. Arpit Jain, Additional District Informatics Officer presented the details of the information available on “lalitpur.nic.in”. In the end, everyone present on the occasion was thanked by the District Informatics Officer. Additional District Collector, Deputy Collector Sadar, District Information Officer Mr. Piyush Rai and collectorate staff were present during the website release. The event was widely covered by print and electronic media.
